AvengerCon is a free security event hosted every fall by Maryland Innovation and Security Institute to benefit the hackers of the U.S. Cyber Command community and the U.S. Army 780th Military Intelligence Brigade. The event is open to all service members and employees of U.S. Cyber Command and Department of Defense personnel supporting cyberspace missions. AvengerCon features presentations, hacker villages, training workshops, and much more.

The event is open to all service members and employees of U.S. Cyber Command and Department of Defense, and related partners supporting cyberspace missions. It will include a keynote speaker, presentations, and villages, currently scheduled for 30 November, and workshops hosted on 29 November.

----[ Registration reminder!

Conference, village, and workshop registration deadline.

A reminder that registration for all workshops and in-person village activities, as well as main event registration for non military/government attendees, closes at 1700 EST on 19 November!

Workshops and in-person village registration is now open at MISI’s website! Make sure you are registered for the main event before you register for workshops or in-person village activities!

Registrants for all in-person activities agree to comply with all required COVID-19 health safety measures.

Remember to verify your email address!

A reminder to everyone who has submitted a registration request for AvengerCon – make sure you check your email, including your junk and spam folders, for a message with a link to verify access to the email address you provided.

As of 17 NOV, we have over 100 registration requests that appear to be from people eligible to attend, but those attendees haven’t verified access to the email addresses they submitted during registration.

If you haven’t yet verified your email address, you can expect to receive reminder emails, but be warned these will also likely end up in your junk or spam folders if the first email did.

Please note that this year, we will have workshop and village content live on multiple days:

    • All remote workshops
    • All in-person village activities
    • Self-paced virtual CTFs
  • 30 NOV (Main Event Day / Fully remote)
    • Keynote address

Before you register, a couple of things to keep in mind: please note the venue of the workshop(s) you are registering for (remote or in-person), and their scheduled time frames. Please don't register for multiple workshops during the same time window, or for an in-person only workshop if you are unable to attend the workshop in Columbia, MD on 29 NOV.

Want to ask CISA Director Easterly a question during the AvengerCon VI keynote? You can! However, due to the scheduled prerecording of the talk, you will need to ask it in advance!

Submit your questions before 1700 EST on Tuesday, 09 November to get your questions included during the keynote interview and Q&A period.

Please note that the Q&A will be curated, and we can't guarantee that every question submitted will be asked during the limited time available. We plan to select a mix of the most relevant, the most interesting, and the most popular questions for inclusion in the Q&A.
